I believe that form and function can exist timelessly

Starting as a hobby in my studio in Snohomish, WA, I discovered my passion for pottery after taking classes from Carol Gould of Terra Nova Studios.

From there, my pottery business blossomed into a thriving enterprise, selling individual pieces and fulfilling larger wholesale orders. Each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail, ensuring that it is both fit for purpose and worthy of display.

In the early days of my pottery business, I began selling my individual pieces at local craft shows and farmer's markets, sharing my love for handmade ceramics with others in the community. It was a wonderful experience to see my work appreciated and to connect with people who shared my passion for pottery.

As my business grew, I began to receive larger and larger wholesale orders from local restaurants and retailers. These orders allowed me to expand my production capabilities while still maintaining the same level of quality and attention to detail that my individual pieces were known for. It was a challenging but rewarding experience to see my pottery being used in professional settings and to know that I was able to provide something unique and beautiful for others to enjoy.

From the Earth,

Molding clay into functional and beautiful items for the home start with sourcing ingredients from a wide variety of sources to create items that with color, texture and timeless simplicity that fits with any design style

DESIGN

I approach each piece of my handcrafted pottery as a unique work of art. From the initial inspiration and sketch, to the shaping and firing of the clay, every step is carefully considered to ensure that the finished product is not only functional, but also beautiful. I love the challenge of creating custom pieces that meet my clients' specific needs and preferences, while still maintaining the distinctive style that sets my work apart. Seeing the joy and satisfaction that my creations bring to others is what makes the design process so rewarding for me.

CLAY

As a potter, I take pride in using high-quality materials to create unique and beautiful pieces of functional art. To achieve this, I carefully source clay from a variety of locations, experimenting with different textures, colors, and finishes to create pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind. By utilizing this approach, I am able to create pieces that stand out and truly capture my individual style as an artist.

GLAZE

The glazing process can be both exciting and challenging. Experimenting with different glaze combinations on bisque fired pottery has been a journey of trial and error for me. Selecting various glazes to achieve the perfect consistency and color is an intricate process that requires patience and attention to detail. But when the final product comes out of the kiln and I see the beautiful, unique pieces that I've created, it makes all the hard work worth it. The process of mixing glazes with different pottery pieces allows me to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are truly special and unique.
